Frequently Asked Questions

We have compiled a list of answers to the basic questions we are asked most frequently, if you have additional questions please do not hesitate to contact us.

Q. How long is the park open?

A. We open 12 months of the year.

Q. Length of tenure?

A. The length of tenure is typically from 25 years but may vary, depending on the lodge concerned, and the age of the lodge at the date of conveyance.

Q. Do you allow subletting?

A. Subletting is not allowed under the site licence. This does not prevent friends and family using your holiday accommodation by prior arrangement.

Q. Is the park residential?

A. Penrhos parc is a holiday park, owners are required to have a permanent address elsewhere.

Q. How much are the lodges?

A. As you will appreciate the price for lodges varies enormously, depending on size and specification. A selection of plots is also available and their price depends on various factors including size and position. For a quotation/estimate of the typical cost of a given size plot and lodge specification please contact us for the current prices.

Q. Are pets allowed?

A. Typically, well behaved pets are always welcome. However, all animals must be kept under control e.g. dogs must be kept on a lead at all times and any fouling must be cleared up by the owner to bins provided. If you have specific requirements please contact us.

Q. Do the Lodges need annual exterior treatment?

A. The lodges do require regular exterior treatment to maintain optimum condition and to protect your investment. Typically, this is every 2 yrs and Penrhos parc is happy to provide this service for an additional charge. Alternatively you can provide this eminence yourself providing you use a product approved by the park for both quality and colour.

Q. Who is responsible for the grounds?

A. Penrhos Parc are responsible for all grounds maintenance including grass cutting. The exterior of lodges need to be kept presentable, clean and tidy at all times. If you wish to enhance your plot area with additional features please contact us to discuss your requirements.

Q. What happens if I want to sell my Holiday home?

A. Penrhos Parc would offer you a price on your holiday home. Alternatively, you may sell your home directly, in which case Penrhos Parc would need to approve the new client and take a 15% commission.

Q. Where are the nearest pubs, shops etc?

A. In all the local villages! e.g. Pont Robert 1 1/2 miles; Meifod 2 miles; Llanfyllin 6 miles.
